3. Francois JEROME Jr. was born in August 1706 in Quebec, Canada.5,9 Between 1727 and 1757 he was a voyageur and trader.5,10 He was the earliest voyageur from Quebec during the French regime in North West.5 Francois was appointed to the French post in 1730 in Detroit5 He made a contract with the "Sieur de la Verenderie to go to the Sea of the West in 1743.5 He made the transition to the new fur trade in the British regime as a trader after 1763.5 Francois was a scout with Alexander Henry and Captain Tute in exploration in 1766 in Mississippi Valley.11 He died on 8 October 1794 at the age of 88 in Detroit, New France.9 He was also known as Francoise Jerome dit Latour.9 Francois was also known as Franceway.9 He was also known as Saswe.9 He was also known as Francoise LeBlanc.9

Francois JEROME Jr. and Marie Joseph JOURDAIN DIT JOSETTE were married on 24 July 1764 in Michillimackinac, New France.12,13 Marie Joseph JOURDAIN DIT JOSETTE was born on 10 October 1751 in Green Bay, New France.12
